MEENA SAPERA & GROUP
Meena Sapera is a Kalbeliya dancer by profession has step up into this world from a very orthodox and conservative society as a girl. when she was born, she was buried alive because girls were considered as a burden for the family but due to her sister’s brave efforts she was saved from that cruel environment. As a kid she was fascinated about dancing and finally gave her first stage performance when she was 5 and gradually became better day by day.
About
Meena turned her favorite hobby into her profession and formed a group with the name ‘Meena Sapera & Group.’ Now she successfully made it a profession and had already staged a lot of performances in foreign countries (China, Sweden, Thailand, Belarus, Europe, Bangkok etc.) as well in front of various famous celebrities and former prime minister with the help of Rajasthan government.
Meena Sapera is spreading Rajasthani culture through her folk dance in India as well as abroad. She is also working for the upliftment of girl child & women empowerment in the society. She is running a dance school also where people from many countries come to learn the Rajasthani folk dance.
